Principality Celebrates!

39th Anniversary of Secession
21/04/1970 - 21/04/2009

Greetings from the Webmasters!

This year saw a small celebration held over the 25th & 26th of April due to that being a weekend.
The event was made that little bit more special by the attendance of Dame Pat Hodges and Sir Doug Bibby as well as the Principality Special Envoy to Bangladesh, Mr Asif Chowdhury.

To celebrate the 39th Anniversary a new set of $5 Postage Stamps were released on the 21st April, though "Formally" announced as part of the weekend celebration.
The Stamps feature the revised "Great Seal of Hutt" presented on 4 different colour backgrounds.

Saturday the 25th saw an Investiture carried out in the Chapel of Nain at 2pm followed by the release of the Royal College of Advanced Research latest book on the Gematrya authored by HRH Prince Leonard, "The Holistic Nature of Reality" which has taken parts of the mathematical world by storm! A special copy of this book was presented to Mr Chowdhury in the Chapel at this time. Many tourists were also in attendance at this Investiture which was good to see.
Following the Official Ceremonies a light luncheon was held for the guests in the Tea Rooms where a lot of talking was done over some refreshments.
