I am pleased and proud to report that the Ridgedale Troop continues to
expand its work within the local community and surrounds.
|
We continue to "man" the
"coffee mornings" held in Ridgedale Monday - Saturday every week in
the "Seniors Hall" where the local residents meet and on 29 occasions
this first quarter, the troop ran this event. |
|
On January 3rd the troop
assisted with and ran the "Pot Luck Supper". This event is held
monthly and it is a great occasion for the senior citizens in the area
to meet for a meal and afterwards play cards.
|
|
On 11th, 12th, 20th and 25th
January members of the troop cleared snow from the main footpath in
the village.
|
|
On 12 occasions during the
quarter the troop helped run the bingo sessions, this is an essential
fund raiser for the upkeep of the "Seniors Hall".
|
|
On 7 occasions during this
quarter we helped sort items delivered to the Salvation Army Charity
Store in the town of Tisdale. Most of the money raised during this
time period was for Haiti relief.
|
On behalf of all our members I
send our best wishes for the forthcoming 40th Anniversary Celebrations
in the Principality.
God Guard Thee.
Yours in service.
G. B. Metcalfe KIOM., AMM.
Chief Commissioner.
