AFTER ACTION
First Report
July 2006:

Having received the Legions first report HRH Prince Leonard was pleased to see that such a small group is already carrying out a large number of duties for their local community. A most commendable attitude in today's society.

Chief Commissioner Metcalfe has every right to be proud of what he and the members of this unit have been able to achieve in such a short period of time since registering with the Outlook Volunteer Services.

The first half of the year saw members of the unit assisting freely with the work and efforts of the Outlook Meals On Wheels service, helping to provide a much needed service to the elderly and infirm. As a result the Legion was invited to attend the Volunteer Services B-B-Q held in the hospital grounds, a uniformed contingent attended.

Other duties included members of the command taking part in Outlooks 10Km charity walk in June and attending a Command B-B-Q in July ably organised by Corporal Dixon.
The command also undertook to provide security duties at the annual Outlook "Show and Shine" vintage motor vehicle display and the first half of the year was finished of nicely with the appointment of two Salvation Army Officers as Chaplains to the command.
